Are your controllers original Nintendo (OEM) controllers or are they third party controllers?
All controller shells, motherboards, and stickboxes are original Nintendo 1st party components (unless the controller is listed as a Phob controller, for which the motherboard is not OEM). OEM buttons/triggers/sticks are the default option for made-to-order controllers, but the colored buttons/triggers/sticks are not made by Nintendo.
Why does modification X cost so much?
My costs are solely based on the cost of the materials and time I need to spend to perform each mod. Some controller variants are rarer than others and cost me more to obtain. Resin buttons are handmade and cost me more to obtain than plastic colored buttons. Paracords are cheap to obtain but can take up to 2 hours to successfully add to a controller.
What does modification X do and do I need it?
Each mod is described in the made-to-order page where the option is listed or in the send-in modification page itself. Please search on Google, YouTube, or the CustomGCC discord for better descriptions than I can provide. Whether you need a mod or not is your call. This all depends on game, experience, and play style.
Can you paint/engrave/stick on a custom logo or tag?
I do not offer any of these mods. Consult the CustomGCC discord for info on how to do this yourself or to find a vendor who can do it for you.
Do you go to any tournaments?
I do go to tournaments as a vendor and will have a Double's Conches booth at the tournaments I attend. I primarily stick to East Coast tournaments for now.
Can I send you a picture of what I'd like for my made-to-order controller?
Absolutely. Email [email protected] with any picture or mockup of what you are thinking of and I can help you pick out the options that will come closest to your desired look.
I got the snapback mod and now my controller drifts to one side. What do I do?
This is expected! When you plug a controller with snapback mod into a GameCube/Wii/Switch that is already on, the controller must be recalibrated. Hold X+Y+Start for 3 full seconds and release. Your controller will stop drifting.
My controller isn't working properly but I do not know why. Can I send it to you to fix it?
I can always take a look at your controller if you are willing to pay to ship it to me and for me to ship it back to you. I can not guarantee that I can either diagnose or fix the problem. If I can fix it, I will provide a price for the modification that is needed and you can pay for the repair.
Do you have any more paracord options?
My stock of paracords is constantly changing. I can also likely obtain any paracord color scheme you desire. There are over 500 different colors of paracord and I do not mind buying a new color in order for your controller to have it.
Can you mix shells from different controllers? Like a white front and black back?
If I were to offer split shells, I would not be able to sell the controller whose front/back shell I took. I do SOMETIMES have a spare front or back shell laying around, so you can email and ask if I have a spare white back shell for example, but chances are that I will not have the exact spare shell you are looking for.
Can I buy controller shells from you?
I do not sell controller shells on their own.
What do you play / who do you main?
In order of most to least played:
1. Melee (Yoshi)
2. Nickelodeon All Star Brawl (Oblina)
3. Ultimate (Banjo & Kazooie)
4. Project M/+ (Roy)
5. Smash 64 (Pikachu)
